About the event
The National Capital Region (NCR) group of the Institute of the Public Administration of Canada (IPAC) is hosting Human-Centred Leadership in Government. This learning event brings together distinguished speakers in an increasing important and topical area of public service. IPAC, founded in 1947, is a dynamic community of public servants from all orders of government, academia, the private sector, and others, who are dedicated to public administration excellence. IPAC-NCR serves the public administration community in the Ottawa-Gatineau areas and maintains an active event program throughout the year. Today, leadership in the public sector is evolving. Hybrid work is commonplace, the line between our work and home lives is blurred, mental health and inclusion are no longer after thoughts, a new generation of workers bred in the digital era are entering the workplace, and one of the top priorities of the Clerk of the Privy Council is values and ethics. This discussion will explore a human-centred approach to leadership and the role that leaders play in the public service.
