About the event

How do Indigenous women executives navigate the "duality" of maintaining their cultural identities while holding senior roles within the federal public service?

Please join IPAC-NCR for a compelling 1-hour interview and discussion with Dr. Angie Bruce on her groundbreaking research, A Raven’s Song: An Exploration of the Duality that Imbues the Lives of Indigenous Women Working in the Public Service of Canada.

About the Session

Dr. Bruce’s research moves beyond statistics to capture the stories of Indigenous women who have successfully navigated the path to executive leadership. Using Indigenous methodologies, including storytelling and the Seven Sacred Teachings, Dr. Bruce explores how these leaders walk in "two worlds"—balancing professional obligations with their responsibilities to their nations, communities, and families.
